Yoga Mala to Warm the Sun and Heart

If you have ever participated in a Yoga Mala or Half Yoga Mala, you are aware that you do not leave your mat as the same person who first stepped foot on the rubbery surface. Similar to running a Marathon, a Yoga Mala is about endurance, grace, clarity, compassion, and dedication. A Yoga Mala physically pushes your body with 108 or 54 Sun Salutations, but the repetitious movements teach you to practice with intention. Practicing through the art of purpose offers strength from deep inside the body, spirit and mind.

Silvia Mordini, my kind teacher and loving friend, offered guidance on How to Lead a Yoga Mala or Half Mala on her blog and provides thoughtful details if you are interested in learning more.

“Sun salutations can energize and warm you, even on the darkest, coldest winter day.”  ~Carol Krucoff
